This College offers BDS course which is recognized by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and Dental Council of India.The process of admissions start in the month of May /June of any year. It is proposed to increase further twenty more seats for BDS. It boast of the expansion of teaching staff more than twenty five qualified MDS and twenty BDS members.The College Hospital boast of excellent infrastructure with all the modern hi-tech equipments Recently DCI has approved Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department as a Post Graduate Department with the intake of two MDS seats per year.
Al-Ameen Dental College and Al-Ameen Dental College Hospital at Bijapur is an institution established by Al-Ameen Charitable Fund Trust(ACFT),Bangalore in 1991 to cater the needs of religious minority community with forty students admission. It is having excellent track record with good academic results since its inception.
Al-Ameen Dental College offers the following courses:
I Undergraduate: BDS
II Post graduate
a) MDS in Oral & Maxillofacail Surgery
b) MDS in Orthodontics
Every BDS Student undergo a period of certified study extended over four academic years from the date of the commencement of his/her study for the subjects comprising the dental curriculum to the date of completion of the examination followed by one-year compulsory internship.
The duration of the course is 04 years. The examinations are held at the end of the year for I, II and III and 06 months after IV th year for part I and finally at the end of IV th year for Part II.
The scheme of examination for the course is divided into 04 professional examinations namely:
Ist BDS examination at the end of 1st academic year.
IInd BDS examination at the end of IInd academic year.
IIIrd BDS examination at the end of IIIrd academic year &
IVth BDS examination at the end of o6 months for Part I and end of the year for Part II.
The examination is open to a candidate who satisfied the requirement of attendance progress and conduct as Stipulated by the university.
Certificate to the above effect should be produced from the Head of the Instiution by the candidate along with the Application for the examination and prescribed fee.
Internship : Every candidate will be required after passing the final BDS examination to undergo one year rotating internship in dental college.

BDS COURSE Education qualifications and other minimum requirements for admission to BDS Course is as per the recommendations of the Dental Council of India and those prescribed by Government of Karnataka and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences,Karnataka,Bangalore.

Library has two units - one for undergraduate students and other for postgraduate students. It has separate sections for students, staff books, periodicals, back volumes, Magazine & News papers .Library has its own computer for internet service. Library caters the need of students & teaching faculties by providing national and International journals & books in all the disciplines. There are 2333 text and reference books,244 number of back volume journals and 39 journals .
